Learn how to code with SoloLearn

Believe or not, despite being so lazy with almost everything, I'm quite into learning new stuff. Especially if this can profit in the future. And if I can learn on the go, on the bus or tram, on my phone, then I've always will choose that way. You know, sitting in the bus there not much to do, besides watching youtube or memes, so why not spent all this free time on learning something useful?

Searching for some new apps to learn new things, I've stumbled upon my old friend: SoloLearn! And this is the topic of today's blog.

SoloLearn is a learning platform available through a web browser, App Store and Google Play. Allowing you to learn a variety of programming languages, from Python, through C++ and Java, to even Kotlin.

The courses are free, every one consisting of theory part and quiz part. There's also one nice thing, after completing the entire course in the chosen language, you get a certificate from SoloLearn. It's not some Harvard papers, but it still nice to have something like this.

You probably thinking "how it's all these courses are free?"

Well... ads, ads everywhere, especially on mobile apps. Either you ignore them and learn nonetheless, or you can also download the course to your device memory and then turn off wi-fi/cellular data and go offline. Bam! No adds, and without an internet connection, you will finally focus on learning your new skill.

I personally think that learning without the Internet in the background is the best way to focus on acquiring new knowledge. Nothing distracts you, nobody writes to you, you don't check anything on the phone every 5 min. There's only you and the topic you are going to learn.

So if you only can, try turning off the Internet in your phone for an hour. Take a book and start learning something. You'll see the difference.

Remember:

If there'ss a chance that someone will need something important from you, during your study time, and you will be offline, it's good to let them know, that can reach you with a regular text message, or that they can just speak to you through the phone call.
You know, I'm saying this just in case.

Ok! Now go and learn something new ;)
